Core Value #1 - Biblical Authority

Believe

God’s word is the ultimate authority in our individual lives and in the life of Springdale. God has spoken through the Scriptures in a revealing, reliable, relevant and authoritative manner that has a transforming impact through personal application. The Bible was not given to us to merely inform us,
or to provide arguments for a particular belief or position, or to fascinate us with its contents, but to change our lives. We only believe what we obey.
The study of scripture is to be balanced, focusing on the essential truths and practices made clear in the Bible, which Christ-followers across the ages have held in common and which most effectively nourish spiritual growth.

Core Value #2 - Authentic Community

To experience community is to know the joy of belonging, the delight at being known and loved, the opportunity for giving and growing and the safety of finding a home. Our need for community with people and the God who made us is to the human spirit what food, air and water are to the human body. A Christ-follower is to be real, honest, and genuine in his/her relationship with God and one another. Being authentic means pursuing a life of integrity spiritually, morally, financially, and relationally.

Core Value #3 - Sacrificial Living

The life of a Christ-follower is to be invested in God’s kingdom-building work through the church. A Christ-follower buys into the vision and takes ownership of the local church and uses his/her abilities to the fullest potential, leveraging resources of both time and money in a generous and faithful manner, identifying and exercising spiritual giftedness to serve the church. It is believing excellence honors God, therefore offering and giving nothing less than the best with a whole heart.

Core Value #4 - Intentional Relationships

The greatest gift we can give another human being is what God has extended to us in unlimited measure, His Love. People come to Christ and to church because of the consistent encouragement of a trusted friend. The life of a Christ-follower is about investing in the lives of the unchurched, actively seeking them out and building relationships in a welcoming, accepting manner and sharing the Message with them.

Core Value #5 - Consuming Passion

A Christ-follower is to lead a rich and vibrant life. The life of a Christ-follower is not to be static or stagnant but fully alive and responsive to God’s leadership. There is to be an openness and willingness to change because of a teachable spirit. It is celebrating, enjoying, and experiencing the goodness of God. It is surrendering to God’s agenda for our lives and having a consuming passion for Him.
