And don’t worry gals, starting on Sept 16th at 7pm, Propel, our women’s study, takes out. Expect to be challenged through teaching, small group accountability, and prayer. If Wednesday’s don’t work out for you, there’s even a Thursday study that will meet every two weeks, with small groups meeting on alternative weeks. Well the new season of ministry is here and with it some great new studies! Each of these will be starting at 9:15.

Starting Sunday, Sept 14th, Springdale will start the first of its new CORE bible studies. To begin, Gregg Allison will lead a study on worship. In the study, Gregg is going to be taking a look at how worship and celebration, two key spiritual practices, affect our journey with God.

Alongside this study, we’ll have our first Community bible study too! Starting Sept 14th as well, this study seeks to encourage parents of students (of all ages!) through practical, biblical teaching.

And for those seeking a warm, welcoming (and fun, from what I hear!) Bible study, W.I.S.E may be for you. Starting August 24th, Women In Search of Excellence offers the women here at Springdale a chance to engage in strong teaching while promoting healthy and lively discussion and community.

Jefferson Street Center donation bin will be out Sunday. Please bring your donation to help the homeless in our city as together we “Love Louisville.” Suggested donations: wash cloths, towels, razors, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper, travel-size (or small size) shampoo, conditioner, soap.

School begins soon and some children will not be able to afford new things to begin the school year. We’ll collect school supplies in the Commons until Aug 10. Most needed are back packs, lunch boxes, pencil pouches, belts (any size, used or new), spiral notebooks, trapper keepers, folders, pens & pencils, crayons, markers & glue sticks. Supplies will be taken to Zachary Taylor Elementary, Westport Middle, & TAPP School on Aug 11. You can also help by making a donation of $20 to go toward the purchase of a gift card for office supplies for teachers at Westport Middle School.

On Wednesday July 23, at 6pm plan on meeting in Common Grounds for an evening with great food & “wackiness” (don’t worry, this does not involve Ben wearing sports gear OR a dress).  After we’ve finished eating we’ll be moving  into the Auditorium (around 6:45pm) for worship & an update on our Open Door Initiatives, upcoming fall season of ministry, a reveal of the SCC survey and a presentation by the RLT. If you want to know where SCC is headed, you will not want to miss this night!

Mark your calendars! On Mon, Jul 21, 9:30am-9:30pm we’ll be taking a road trip!. Also remember that CONNECT Sunday mornings is taking a break and will resume Aug 17 at 9:15am at the Station.  Lastly, CONNECT Wednesday night will not meet this Wed Jul 9! Don’t come out unless you want to be alone
