PASTORAL SEARCH TEAM COVENANT
Having been entrusted with the task of recommending to our church the person whom God is calling as our next spiritual leader and recognizing our personal and corporate need for prayer and our Heavenly Father’s guidance, we thoughtfully and prayerfully make the following commitments:
Prayer

We will pray daily for the Holy Spirit to direct our thoughts and plans that we may carry out our task with humility, integrity, wisdom and discernment.

We will pray daily for one another and for the Springdale family that our hearts will be unified in seeking the will of our Heavenly Father.

We will pray daily for the Elders and Staff who will lead our church during this time of transition.

We will pray daily for the one whom God is preparing to be our next spiritual leader.
Communication
-
We will speak honestly and sincerely with total freedom.

We will listen objectively, respectfully and without bias to one another.

We will maintain the confidentiality of all Search Team discussions.

We will regularly and clearly communicate to the church on the progress being made by the Search Team.
Accountability

We will seek first our Heavenly Father’s will and submit attentively in prayer to His direction.

We will seek a leader who will best meet the needs of the entire church family without consideration of any personal agenda.

We will thoroughly and ethically evaluate all candidates.

We will promptly and tactfully notify in writing those candidates no longer being considered.
- We will recommend to the Elders only that candidate upon whom the entire Search Team agrees.
