MAT SLECHTER, Team Leader

Mat and Meredith have been married for 7½ years, and they have 3 children: Kenton (4), Logan (2), and Laurel (1). Mat is an attorney. He has taught in many capacities at SCC, including Starting Point, the 5 G’s, and Adult Bible studies. Mat and Meredith have been Life Group leaders for five years. Mat’s spiritual gifts are teaching and evangelism. He is very passionate about missions, and contributing to Springdale’s mission of reaching a lost world.

BRIAN BEANBLOSSOM

Brian is a physician. He and Nancy Jayne have 3 daughters: Lyndsie (20), Mollie (18) and Annie (12). Brian and Nancy Jayne have been at Springdale for 14 years. Brian is an elder at SCC, and he is involved in the Men’s ministry and Student ministry. He is also a Life Group leader. Brian’s spiritual gifts are service, giving and teaching.

JEREMY WHITE

Jeremy has been married to Jeannette for 10 years. They began their lives at Springdale 5½ years ago. Jeremy is employed by Insight Communications. Jeremy is now an elder, and he is involved in Adventure River Theater, drama, pre-marital counseling, teaching catalyst groups and Sports ministry. He and Jeannette also lead a Life Group. Jeremy’s spiritual gifts are teaching and encouragement. He is especially passionate about discipleship.

DALE DAVIS

Dale and Marcia, his wife of 39 years, have been at Springdale since its inception. They have a grown son, Scott. Since retiring from UPS, Dale has devoted his life to the administrative leadership of our church. Dale’s spiritual gifts are administration and giving, and he is especially passionate about outreach.

BECKY RUPPERT

Becky has been married to Bob for 26 years, and they have 3 children: Zach (20), Morgan (17) and Claire (14). The Rupperts have been devoted members of Springdale for 14 years. Becky’s spiritual gift is service, and she and Bob have served in the Connect middle school ministry since its inception 8 years ago. Becky also works with the high school girls, and she and Bob are Life Group leaders.

MICHELLE DUNN

Michelle and her husband Pat have been in Louisville for just over 10 years, and have been faithful members of Springdale for pretty much all of that time. Michelle and Pat have 3 children: Aidan (11), Euan (7), and baby Quinn, who waits for her mom, dad and brothers in heaven. Michelle is one of the more visible members of Springdale, as she regularly shares her gift as a communicator as part of the Worship Arts team. She has also served as a Life Group leader, and has participated in High School ministry and Women’s ministry. Her spiritual gifts are encouragement, discernment and hospitality. Michelle loves talking, studying the Bible, traveling with Pat, and the Kentucky Wildcats (not necessarily in that order)!

CLAUDIA VIAR

Claudia has been married to Bill for 45 years, the last twenty of which have been spent at Springdale. Claudia and Bill have 3 grown children (Michael, Jennifer and Bryan), 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Claudia teaches the ladies’ WISE Bible study class, and she participates in the First Impressions ministry and the Prayer ministry. Claudia actually coordinated the Angel Tree ministry for its entirety at SCC. Her spiritual gifts are teaching, administration and encouragement. Claudia is especially passionate about ladies’ discipleship.

MARK JOHNSON

Mark represents the Young Adult coalition at Springdale. He and Alison have been married for 4½ years, and they are the proud parents of Samuel, 4 months. Mark grew up in our Student ministry, and has been a member at Springdale for 16 years. Mark serves us in the Sports ministry and Worship Arts, and he and Alison are currently Life Group leaders. Mark’s spiritual gifts are mercy and service.

JENNIFER NICHOLS

Jennifer and her husband Tanner have 3 daughters: Annie (9), Lilly (6) and Meg (2). Jennifer and Tanner have been at Springdale for 7 years, during which time they have led a Life Group, and Jennifer is involved in Adventure River Theater and the Children’s ministry. Jennifer has the passion and giftedness to help promote Springdale and its ministries to believers and non-believers, in order to build a church that helps the world meet its physical and spiritual needs.
